I wrote this piece a few years ago, during my spiritual healing and life coaching studies - a time of deep growth and rediscovery of my own inner fire. It captures the transformation I experienced - the moment I realized we can be both the fire that transforms and the light that heals.
The Fire and the Reflection of the Flame
"I am the fire -
and the reflection of the flame.
There is a wildness within me that refuses to be contained. It burns, not to destroy, but to transform. I am the spark that ignites the dark corners of forgotten dreams, the steady glow that reminds others that warmth still exists, even in the coldest nights.
My heart beats with untamed rhythm - it doesn’t march to the world’s timing, but dances to the music of its own making. I have stumbled through storms, yet each time, the fire within me refused to go out. It flickered, perhaps, but it never died.
I am the light that heals all that it touches.
My flame is not meant to consume, but to illuminate.
To show others the beauty that hides in their shadows.
There is power in this duality - the blaze and its reflection. The heat and the calm shimmer. The force that burns and the presence that soothes. I am both. I am the lesson learned from chaos and the peace that follows.
My fire is my truth - fierce, raw and radiant.
And my reflection is my reminder - gentle, knowing and infinite.
For I am the fire and the reflection of the flame,
the wild heart that cannot be tamed,
and the light that heals all that it touches"
To my readers and coachees:
Your fire and your light are uniquely yours. They are the parts of you that spark courage, illuminate your path and warm the world around you. Life will challenge your flame, sometimes dimming it, sometimes stirring it into a blaze, but it is always within you, waiting to guide you, to heal you and to remind you of your strength.
Take a moment to honour it, feel it, let it shine and remember: the more you embrace your own fire and light, the more you give others permission to do the same.
With you on the journey,
