What Awaits Ahead (Part 2)
Give Yourself the Chance to Meet Someone New
There’s something about familiarity that can feel comforting - even when it’s no longer good for us. We replay old conversations, scroll through memories and tell ourselves, “Maybe this time, they’ll see my worth.”, but here’s the truth, that many of us eventually learn: you shouldn’t have to convince someone to value you. Love, friendship and connection should never be a negotiation of your worth.
If you find yourself tempted to go back to someone who couldn’t see your light - pause, take a breath and ask yourself: What am I really missing - the person or the comfort of what I once hoped they could be?
Sometimes, it’s not them we’re longing for. It’s the version of ourselves we were when we felt wanted. It’s the illusion of safety, but if you’re honest with yourself, you’ll realize that going back only keeps you standing still.
You deserve someone who chooses you freely, without hesitation. Someone who doesn’t need convincing, or reminders or second chances to recognize your worth...
and that begins with you!
When you give yourself permission to move forward - to open your heart again, not out of desperation, but from a place of healing - you create space for something real, someone new, someone capable of meeting you where you are now, not where you once were.
Every ending, no matter how painful, carries an invitation. It’s an opportunity to choose yourself - again and again - until the person who’s meant for you recognizes that same value you finally see in yourself.
So today, I invite you to stop chasing what’s behind you.
Turn toward what’s ahead...
Because maybe, just maybe, the love you’ve been waiting for is waiting for you too - right around the corner, ready to meet the version of you who finally knows she deserves it.
